Carex pedunculata (Fr: carex pédonculé | En: long-stalked sedge)

Long-stalked sedge, is a common sight in many forests in the Ottawa valley. 

This sedge typically grows to a height of 30-60 cm, forming dense clumps of arching, narrow leaves. The leaves have a rich green color and add texture and depth to garden beds or natural landscapes.

It can tolerate both full sun and partial shade, providing versatility in various growing conditions. However, it does require a fair bit of moisture to thrive.
